Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus,

We are more than happy to know you and to get this special privilege
to share what God is doing here, in Myanmar through you (Dae Heung
Presbyterian Church) and us. Surely we wouldn’t make this far without
His grace and help through you.

Our drawn neighbours are very enthusiastic and their hunger for God is
very fervent. As they enjoyed the service and singing action songs a
lot and sometimes shouted in praise at the top of their voices, they
even insisted that we worshipped every night. So until last week, we
used to have worship service every single night. But unfortunately,
the neighbours on our left and right, who are Muslims complained to
the head of the community that our service’s noisy and annoying them.

Since our rent house is not soundproof and we have no right to
soundproof it, to avoid such complaints, we decided to sit and not
stand during the whole service; to also have worship service three
nights a week (Wed, Sat, Sun). All night services are in Burmese and
start at 7 pm. On Sundays, Sunday School starts at 8 am; Burmese
service at 10 am and Zo service at 2 pm. The pre-school is opened
Mon-Fri.

Usually there are 20-30 people. Among them is one Burmese granny.
Being in her seventies, her sight is becoming weak that she can
neither see nor read the normal text size of the Bible and our song
book. So we wrote all the songs for her on the blank back of
calendars. She is really excited and her faith in the Lord is on fire.
She said that she is dissatisfied to have to sit on the floor so as to
be able to see and sing along. Now she insisted that we stand when we
sing. However, due to the limited space and situation, we fail to
adapt to her request.

Our plan for next month is to open Summer English Speaking Class after
Water Festival. The children are very excited. They also requested us
to start a guitar class, saying that they want to learn how to play
guitar. We believe this is a great opportunity to bring them closer to
the Lord. We are ready for this too except for not having enough
guitars. So we tell them to pray that God willl provide the necessary
guitars.

We are reminded of what Paul said in 1Cor. 16:9 “For a great and
effective door opened to me, and many are opposing”. We really
appreciate and are very grateful for your helps and supports in every
possible ways. Your effectual prayers are much needed for our prayer
requests as follows:

(1)? ? ?We really need own building so that we can proceed with anything
needed to soundproof and freely worship God from our inner most being.
(2)? ? ?A projector.
(3)? ? ?Sound system. The only guitar we have and use is acoustic.
(4)? ? ?To get the needed guitars as many as possible.
(5)? ? ?A computer. My youngest sister, Lun, is a Christian interpreter
and translator. Her career has been a big help to the ministry.
Recently, her computer which is otherwise our lifeblood, broke down
and couldn’t be repaired.
(6)? ? ?A camera. The one we have went broke. That’s why all pictures are
taken with mobile phone, and as a result the quality is not very good.
