One of the many joys of being a children’s pastor for over 15 years has been listening and laughing at the funny things children say. And, they might not even know it’s funny.

My wife (who is 6 months pregnant) was asked by a girl at our church about her pregnancy. I won’t tell you her name, but I will say that her name begins with the letter “L”.

L: When is your baby going to be born?

Wife: On April 14^th.

L: How do you know?

My wife told me the short conversation and we both laughed, hysterically. For a young girl, it’s a wonder that we can know when

the baby will be born. In the girl’s mind, did the baby tell mommy when she’s going to come out? Or, are you going to force her

out on that day? How do you schedule a birth on that day?

because they have many questions and have fun things to talk about. After all,?children are a gift from the Lord.
