How deep the Father's love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that left Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything

Why should I gain from His reward?

Practice:  How does God show His love to us? What do I do when I don’t feel God’s love? /

실천: 하나님은 우리를 향한 그분의 사랑을 어떻게 보여주십니까? 하나님의 사랑을 느끼지 못할때 무엇을 하십니까?

Petition: Our loving heavenly Father, thank you for your Great love for us. We didn’t do anything to deserve it. But, You showed it to us through Your only Son, Jesus Christ. He lived, died and rose again for us. /

간구: 사랑의 아버지 하나님, 주님의 크신 사랑에 감사를 드립니다. 우리는 주님의 사랑을 받을만한 아무런 자격도 없습니다. 하지만 주님께서는 독생자 예수 그리스도를 통해 그 사랑을 우리에게 보여주셨습니다. 우리를 위해 사람의 모습으로 이땅에 오셔서 죽으시고 다시 사셨습니다.

 

 

Pattern: …but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) /

암송: 우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라 (로마서 5:8)
